The model receives only what searchers held at the time — last known flight state, ambient winds, surface current, water depth. Re-runs every benchmark across a fixed seed sweep and emits a canonical, hash-bound JSON artefact: full inputs, engine configuration, per-seed solutions, error, containment and search area, plus seed-sensitivity of each solution point. The SHA-256 digest is computed over the canonical body with the generation timestamp excluded, so an auditor who re-runs the same pack version must reproduce the identical digest byte-for-byte.
How to read this — and what it does not claim
Containment is the smallest probability circle around the solution that would have contained the wreckage. Below 90% means a fleet sweeping the engine's 90% zone would have found it.
A miss is reported as a miss. Results are not tuned per case; every run uses identical model settings and one shared seed.
Reference positions are rounded figures from published official reports, so errors of a kilometre or two are inherent to the benchmark, not the engine.
These runs use single-fix priors with coarse climatological winds and currents. A live case with a full ADS-B track, ERA5 reanalysis and logged negative sweeps constrains the field considerably harder than what is shown here.
This is decision support for search planning. It does not determine probable cause and is not a substitute for the investigating authority's findings.
